Jensen, John b.1930

Born in Sydney Australia, the cartoonist son of Jack Gibson, a cartoonist father. Jensen took his stepfather’s name in the 1940s. He was the political cartoonist for London Sunday Telegraph 1961-1979 and then joined Sir James Goldsmith’s new weekly magazine Now! which lasted only 19 months. He was a Punch contributor from 1974, producing illustrations, jokes, sports illustrations and TV caricatures. Theatre caricaturist for Tatler, 1970s, also social cartoonist for Spectator
